Dean Carlisle

Wildlife has always held a special place in Dean's heart. Privileged to spend his formative years at Phinda Private Game Reserve, guided by one of South Africa's leading conservationists, being his father Les Carlisle, Dean's childhood unfolded with experiences many only read about.

Throughout his pursuit of a degree in Zoology, Dean recognized that his love for wildlife flourished through firsthand experiences and the acquisition of knowledge. It was this realization that led to the creation of Lessons in Conservation. With a mission to share knowledge, raise awareness, and offer exposure to children in underprivileged communities, Dean aspires to ignite the same passion for conservation in them that burns brightly within him.
